Had a fantastic experience with Madeira rent! It's a bit more expensive than other car rentals but you support a local business. The car was very new, clean and the staff always very friendly. They offered us an upgrade at our arrival, as the car I booked was manual and low powered. In my view, it was a good decision to spend a bit more on an automatic car with more power, given that there are so many very steep hills in Madeira.

Really good local car rental company. I've rented with them 9 times now, and just done so again (April 26) and had very good experiences. Will do so again.
